No. Este congreso convoca desde el Golfo, pero piensa la escritura desde y hacia cualquier lugar donde el lenguaje se desborde. Se puede postular con cualquier proyecto cuyos temas estén relacionados a:

• Fronteras, migración, caminos y desplazamientos.
• Géneros cruzados, materialidades, desapropiaciones y escrituras expandidas.
• Cuerpo y territorio.
• Agua, género y comunalidad.
• Oralituras y lenguas indígenas.
• Escrituras en spanglish y multilingües.
• Escrituras hispanas, chicanas, latinas en Estados Unidos.
• Escrituras y literaturas no-humanas: lo animal, la plantitud, lo posthumano y lo otro.
• Autoritarismos, capitaloceno y catástrofe ecológica.
• Imaginarios decoloniales: feminismos, género e intersecciones.
• Escrituras queer y disidencias sexuales: identidades en movimiento y resistencias.
• Traducción y recuperación de archivo hispano en Estados Unidos.
• Edición de literatura latina en Estados Unidos.
• Resonancia de los archivos migrantes y familiares en la escritura creativa.

La inscripción se paga después de recibir la aceptación de la postulación al congreso. El costo de inscripción incluye:

• Almuerzo viernes 24 y sábado 25 de octubre
• Cena de bienvenida 23 de octubre
• Café y aperitivos
• Diploma de participación

Por el momento no se cuenta con becas.

Sí, se espera que la muestra creativa sea el texto a leer en el congreso, obviamente puede cambiar parcialmente entre la postulación y el congreso, pero debe ser el mismo texto que se leerá y discutirá en el congreso.

Para proyectos académicos es necesario un resumen de no más de 300 palabras. El proyecto debe estar vinculado con la escritura creativa de alguna forma. Las instrucciones se encuentran en el formulario:

La exposición puede realizarse en español y otras lenguas que conversen con este idioma. También puede realizarse en inglés siempre que la ponencia tenga alguna conexión con el español.

The registration fee is due after your proposal has been accepted. The fee includes:

At this time, no scholarships are available.

 Creative writing submissions must include a three-page sample and a brief description.

 Yes. We expect the submitted sample to be the piece you will read at the conference. Minor edits or changes are allowed between submission and the event, but the core text should remain the same, as it will be the focus of your presentation and discussion.

Academic project submissions must include a summary of no more than 300 words. The proposal should have a clear connection to creative writing.

Presentations may be delivered in Spanish or in other languages that engage in dialogue with Spanish. Presentations in English are also welcome, if they maintain a meaningful connection to the Spanish language.
